Streets are still closed off in front of the Portland ICE facility at 8:30pm. Protesters have gathered on a side street. Dance party in progress.

Right-wing influencer David Medina was picked by DHS to cover Secretary Noem’s Portland visit. He shows his audience “like maybe five or ten protesters,” seemingly supporting what Oregon leaders have been saying about the ICE protests: unremarkable unless ICE officers use riot control agents.

Secretary Noem appeared on the upper roof of the Portland ICE facility, surrounded by a small entourage of video recording staff. Then she left the roof. Multiple reports suggest that was her, way up on the roof.

Apropos of nothing, Sec. Kristi Noem is currently praying over Burgerville with Portland ICE officials.
A screenshot of a video of Noem praying at a conference table with other people wearing suits. Fast food bags and water bottles sit on the table.

Taking over for @courtneyvaughn.bsky.social and @portlandmercury.com When I arrived a number of protesters were saying that Secretary Kristi Noem was on the roof of Portland’s ICE facility, but we haven’t seen a motorcade, so it is very likely it was just a feminine looking person in a hat.
ICE facility can be seen at a distance. Little people appear as dots on the first floor roof. ICE facility can be seen at a distance. Little people appear as dots on the first floor roof.

Just spoke to a family who had an immigration appointment at the ICE facility and were turned away; told to call and reschedule. A volunteer I spoke to is distributing pamphlets w/legal resources. Says dozens of ppl were cleared from the bldg earlier, as streets were being cleared for Noem's visit.

Residents of apartments surrounding the ICE facility say they can't get vehicles in or out and got no warning that the streets would be closed off.

Waiting for more info, but Portland Police Bureau has S Bancroft St blocked off, presumably in anticipation of Kristi Noem's visit to the ICE facility.

Protesters have remained behind the blue line on the ICE facility’s driveway, but the DHS has made announcements four times in a row now telling people that if they step onto the driveway they’ll be subject to arrest. It’s not really clear if anything is prompting these repeated announcements.

Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.

Oregon (Kennedy): I think it would be appropriate for the court to issue separate 2nd TRO and incorporate by reference reasoning of initial TRO. Now we'd need to broaden: apply to deploying federalized members of NG of *any* state into Oregon.

Judge: Based on the conduct of the defendants and now seeing TX National Guard called up, I am going to grant alternative TRO requested. Let me ask plaintiffs—I'd prefer not to modify original TRO, but I am troubled to hear of CA and TX NG being sent to OR, in apparent violation of my order

Weird energy outside Portland’s ICE facility. Probably 100 people scattered around the area, seemingly a mix of protesters and counter-protesters. One guy seems to be looking for a fight from the protesters, who aren’t interested. “Are you scared?” he asked. “No, just annoyed.”
