Democrats need to realize ICE isn’t just—or even primarily—a mass deportation force.
ICE is also Trump’s most loyal internal security force which will be used to attack regime opponents and try to steal the election. They should defund his authoritarian capabilities.

They are unlawfully detaining people for First Amendment protected activities, as far as I can tell. Dragging people out of their vehicles absent witnessing a crime and without a judicial warrant is repugnant to our constitutional order.

Pragmatically, we should be arguing for a mall-cop approach to ICE: sticks and spray, and nothing else. If they arrest someone they need to call a supervisor from a long way away with a single pair of handcuffs. Guns? Call the local police if guns are a problem

A few thoughts on the Minneapolis homicide (from the former head of policy at ICE):
1. The perp was shooting towards his colleagues - wildly out of training.
2. If Good posed a threat worth shooting her over, ICE needed to confirm she was in fact disabled post-crash. That they did not is telling.
