remember when Hertz bought a huge Tesla fleet? The loss on that turned out to be $2.9 billion.

you see a similar thing with guys like Elon. they acquire money and acclaim but they still don’t feel “cool” in the way that they perceived their childhood bullies as cool. so they try to replicate the bully behavior, but it never quite lands.
