I don't frequent Starbucks most of the year, but do stop in to get peppermint hot chocolate several times a week during the holiday season. It hasn't been hard to forego my beverages to support these folks.

This is a really good point. What is the point of art disconnected from place and history and culture. Sparking interest in nothing. Lowest common denominator fever dream.
Been thinking on the use of GenAi for mood boards. Ethics and legal risks aside, I truly believe using GenAi as references deprives one of many pivotal things.
