The Social Security website is crashing multiple times a week.

Elon Musk's henchmen think it's a perfect time to fire half the IT team.
Social Security targets tech team for cuts at a time when systems are under strain | CNN Politics
The Social Security Administration plans to slash its technology team roughly in half at a time when the agency’s complex and fragile computer systems are crashing more often.

Social Security lost 7,000 employees over the last two months under Trump and Musk.

They are planning to fire thousands more and shut down offices across the country.

Our elders and people living with disabilities deserve dignity and respect. Not this.

We must keep fighting to stop these cuts!
Social Security faces thousands more job cuts even with service in tailspin
The agency has already seen 7,000 job losses from dramatic cost-cutting efforts by Trump and Musk — even as they promise no benefit reductions.

What is Trump doing now that he has sabotaged the US economy with massive tariffs?

He's at his golf club in Florida, where the Saudis are paying him to host a professional golf tournament.

Trump and Musk LIE about Social Security as a part of their plans to steal our earned benefits. But we know the truth.

For nearly 90 YEARS Social Security has delivered timely benefits because of OUR contributions.

Almost half of the country’s health insurance now rests in the hands of a man who once sold miracle pills — with zero proof they worked — on daytime TV.

SCOOP — FEMA has named Geoff Harbaugh, a producer at Newsmax, as Associate Administrator for External Affairs (an extremely senior role). He’s also produced Seb Gorka’s America First podcast since 2018 and worked for Laura Ingraham.

There is absolutely NO situation in which Donald Trump will serve a third term as President of *these* United States, full stop.

Don’t get distracted. This Administration and the GOP are undermining the Constitution and Rule of Law. We must continue to raise our voices!

Trump will let people freeze so the ultra-wealthy get more tax breaks. His cruelty knows no bounds. I’ll fight back with every tool I have. As a working-class kid, I know how vital LIHEAP—energy aid that helps low-income families heat their homes—is to millions.

Entire Staff Is Fired at LIHEAP
The move threatens to paralyze the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which helps to offset high utility bills for roughly 6.2 million people nationwide.

Equity is not a marxist term. Equity is required and should be demanded. We should stop trying to roll back American history and recognize the harms caused to many and the inequities many still deal with to this day.

Musk's DOGE lapdogs are threatening the foundations of Social Security.

A system that generations of Americans have built to preserve our ability to retire with dignity– all to give billionaires a bigger tax cut.

CONGRESS MUST ACT!

It's so disheartening to have to choose b/w taking a lesser reassignment or being RIF'd when I worked so hard to climb the ladder and I do my job from my heart. No shade to those with family in gov't but I am a first generation Federal employee. In some agengies it's a big deal to do it without help

SCOOP— Social Security Administration (SSA) will be slashing more jobs at direction of the WH/OPM/OMB, multiple agency sources confirmed to me. This is despite Acting Commissioner Dudek’s assurances two weeks ago that no more RIFs would be necessary this fiscal year after hitting downsizing targets.

Soooooooo, we're not going to talk about have the mandatory 5-point emails bounced back today because the mailbox is full? This 2025 efficiency is different 🙄 Can we have 5-bullet points on what they've been doing? Mkay, carry-on! Efficiency is as efficiency does 👀

Can we talk about fire and safety hazards because RTO was not properly planned? I pray there is no need to evacuate immediately. RTO was not an issue, we were in the office a few days a week anyway. The lackluster prep with 1 day notice is the issue I have.

D.E.I.A. has become a slur and because people who call the shots don't care enough to know more, they are putting so mant at risk.A coworker shared how intervention from the DEIA staff helped create a safe environment after cough induced asthma when a construction crew did not properly prep or clean
Some of the most dedicated and efficient employees I've trained and worked with were differently able. Accommodations consist of anything from approving and delivering assistive visual tech equipment for blind and low vision employees to ensuring proper cleaning after in-office construction.
One thing I don't see people speaking about is the firing of the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity staffs. Those staffs oversaw reasonable accommodations for the working disabled in the agencies.
