It would be pretty hilarious to greet the 2,000 national guard members descending on Los Angeles tonight by calmly eating tacos on the porch and cranking up the mariachi music.

Kansas smacked my bracket but gained a fan. WTG, ladies. Amazing game.
This Kansas State vs Kentucky women’s basketball game has been incredible. Both these teams are so full of talent, drive, and hard work. I wish they could both advance! #womensports #marchmadness #ncaabasketball

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

People on Medicaid describe the services they try and receive and how the latest cuts will affect them. A must listen for all Americans.
Absolutely vital and outstanding show from @maryharris.bsky.social about the many people, jobs and lives being destroyed by these Trump & Musk cuts. slate.com/podcasts/wha...

I don’t hate this idea. I just want the gerontocracy out. We’ve got elected leaders passing out at the House podium, falling and breaking hips, having what look like strokes or seizures while giving speeches… 70+ year old officials need to retire.

Crockett: "Down in Alabama, who's broke. Down in Louisiana, who's broke. I can go through pretty much the entire south and tell you that they're broke and rely on a lot of welfare from the government. To be perfectly honest, it is tax dollars from these big blue states...we're in the find out phase"

Lies and lies and lies. I suppose we’ve learned that if we want to throw off DOGE we just get my dad to code some COBOL.

The American Quilting Society opted to censor an abstract, feminist quilt. I’m not a quilter, but I do some embroidery and knitting. We need artists’ voices now more than ever. Silencing them will not happen. Look at the beautiful works featured in this blog post: www.iothealien.com/blog/censors...

Trump has denied or downplayed links to Project 2025. These documents show that implementation is well underway, with designated personnel quietly drafting policies that are being publicly attributed to heads of federal agencies.

This is a really great episode and (believe it or not) a fun listen. Let’s return the Democratic Party to the people and empower labor unions, provide healthcare, and take care of one another. #aoc4pres

I feel like they had a meeting and decided “we have to be dumber.”
