BREAKING: The Supreme Court denied an attempt to challenge Obergefell v. Hodges, the case affirming marriage equality nationwide.

Our freedom to marry remains the law of the land.

Reposting this art for two reasons: 1. I had to rebuild the digital file from past films due to losing the original. 2. I plan to change the colors to make a trans rights sticker (living fossil = “always existed; always will”)

...website ownership doubled in price over the last six months; updated the shop to reflect the most recent year's prints to make this worth it.

Whelp … after thousands of layoffs, it’s great see Target didn’t get the fucking message.

I invite new CEO, Michael Fiddelke, to also open stores in Canada without adequate supply distribution centers, again. I’m sure the problem last time was just lack of customer eye contact.

The sales table merch is equally as incredible as everything on the walls. So much of this art is small, so prices are affordable to most attendees. And Norseman Distillery has been doing wonderful things along with us - including giving the artists in the show a drink discount.
miniARTure kicked off last night with a big crowd! These mighty minis had people snapping up art all night long!

Join us again TONIGHT 6-10pm at ALTR Gallery! @clevergirl-jp.bsky.social

Tarot card: The Star.

OAC will probably make the Tarot Art Show an annual event, and so I need another idea to illustrate…

(BlueSky will no doubt hide this behind an adult content tag, yet: 1. I consider this functional nudity, not sexual, 2. Star is immortal - this isn’t su!c!de, its renewal.)

Next thing the OAC owned ALTR Gallery has going on: miniARTure show. Here’s some previews of what artists turned in:

My partner and I volunteered for costumed figure sketch sessions offered at ALTR Gallery through artist Christine Mitzuk (christinemitzuk.com).

Not used to being on the opposite side of the drawing table, hence the mask.

Posing is like yoga extreme. I have increased my respect for models. Yikes.

If you are local to Twin Cities, or close by and willing to pay art shipping costs, throw your erotic art into our event. It costs nothing to apply; entries are juried by outside artists; if accepted, there’s a $25 fee. OAC takes 35% of any sales (up-price accordingly).

Happy Friday. I’m back on this bullshit. Redrawn the hands and flames so much the paper might disintegrate if touched by ink. But I got a massive hand-built light-table, so …

Now that the Halloween art show, Gods & Monsters, is behind me — I gotta work up an idea for the next year's annual events. In the meantime, maybe finish these that have been stuck in the digital design phase for a while now...

My Gods & Monsters favorites from the @oacmn.bsky.social show last Saturday. Open gallery hours will be scheduled (increased) as I jump back on staff with the main OAC crew. If you’re in Minneapolis, please check it out.

Things change; a fourth color for the sake of contrast had to be added. Screen printing light colors is so frustrating.

Final design. Little tricky, because I’ll be skipping the cost of having films professionally printed to recover from an expensive month (lotta shit I need decided to break last week). It affects how I designed this piece, and the color layers I’m using.

Wish me luck…

The kind of shit I’m all about: when it takes resourcefulness just to live like capitalism expects, and the result is accidental art that’s critical of modern society.

Keep creating. Even if your sculptures are just made of the gum peeled off the underside of a bridge. Keep creating.

Newest art prints are hanging at Wabasha Brewing in St. Paul. Then Gods & Monsters at ALTR Gallery mid-month. And THEN Norsemen Distillery after that. Busy month.

(Don’t use sandals on ladders kids; I’m old and ready to die.) Also chopped my finger; gonna be washing dishes one-handed for a while.
