Had a sleep instead of dinner. Still headachy on waking though. Good call not going to the RT meeting. More panadol, a little supper and a cup of sleepy tea for me now. Then a some quiet time before bed.

Still feeling not great. Going to have that lie down now and see if i feel better by dinner time.

Funeral celebrant came over to drop off mum's ashes this afternoon. No special urn or other container - haven't been able to decide on one yet though i have the catalogue. Just a simple plastic box sealed by the crematorium. It feels both heavier and lighter than expected somehow. Have popped […]

Bit of a headache. Taken panadol. On 2nd cup of mint tea. Had a little snooze in the recliner - probably would've had a lie down if i wasn't expecting someone to pop by later. Don't think i'll be heading out to tonight's rising tide meeting if things don't start turning around.

Gym was good. Fun but challenging. The people were nice and easy to chat with.

We started out throwing a tennis ball at the wall baseball style and with the off hand as well as the dominant one. Fun! One challenging thing was doing a cat crawl (mine was nothing like in this video but that's how […]

Trying out a gym this morning. Not a regular style gym - one with a focus on all sorts of movement and playfulness. Free class to test the waters. Feeling curious but also a bit apprehensive.

@feather1952 figured if i had the equipment, it'd help build momentum for doing all the things.

Otherwise, Friday week'll be granny grommet time for me.
psychopoesie.aus.social.ap.brid.gy
So now i'm all set. Have something on this Friday morning when the nearest one runs but may try one of the Lake Mac granny grommet sessions if the weather and surf cooperate. And if i can get myself up and out a bit earlier to make the start time.

Long story short, bought a boogie board too. And they popped the wrist band tether thingy on for me and gave me some wax (though they didn't reckon i'd need any for the granny grommet version of boogie boarding). Very helpful!
Blue side of the boogie board leaned against the beige 2 seater lounge with ukulele and case on the left. The wrist tether thingie is fluorescent yellow verging on lime. It's a razor brand. Flip side of the board is white with a diamond pattern in grey that makes me think of fish scales. Same background as previous photo.

So anyway, since i was out, decided to have a look at ukeleles. Tried a few in the shop. Fell in love with this concert sized one and thought why wait!

Bought it along with some accessories, like the strap and a tuner. The bright purple strap is a guitar one but […]

A medium brown grained wooden ukulele (makes me think of darker honeys) with a bright purple strap sitting in front of its light denim gear bag on the beige lounge. There's a design around the sound hole with triangles and witchy looking stuff (no idea what it's meant to be besides decorative). Brand is Veelah.

I've been ok with appointments/commitments. It's the optional things that are trickier. And at home, the death admin stuff has fallen in a bit of a heap.

Am only out today because i have to go to the PO to send off a sympathy card to a friend. Grabbed lunch along the way which has me feeling chirpier. So will tack on a few extra errands along the way to the PO.

Not even getting out to walk or swim as much as when i was still caring for mum and my time out was way more limited.

Have been struggling a bit with energy levels. Not doing much at home except loll about reading fluff, eating things i shouldn't and drinking lots of green tea interspersed with kindy naps - because after all that nothing much, i'm exhausted. Not even playing interesting computer games, let […]

Going to have to go back to daily mouse trap checking dammit. So far the tunnel traps have been totally useless. Only the traditional style ones worked.

The smell seems to have gone, thankfully. Hopefully it stays that way now. Leaving the bedroom windows open anyway (usually closed on warmer days like this).

LOOK at this lady from TikTok with her snowball viburnum in the spring time, how can the whole world just be moving on while this thing exists
A screenshot from a ticktock of a lady Standing next to some bridal spirea and a TOWERING TALL snow ball viburnum, bursting with huge blooms and towering like miles tall above her

#metropolitanpolice in #london have yet again courageousy defended the city against #terrorists with hand-written signs opposing #genocide in #gaza and supporting #PalestineAction. The arrestees included a #blind man with a cane, and — for the third time — 83yo retired priest Rev Sue Parfitt.

Just hope the residual smell goes soon. Sprayed like wild and left windows open. Hope that does the trick.

Checked the other traps but nothing. Some traces of mouse poop in one of the spare rooms. Nothing in the living areas - where i've just started leaving fruit in the fruit bowl again, thinking they were all gone. No food sources in the bedrooms so wtaf! Think it's time […]

Something smelled off in my bedroom. Opened windows, had a sniff round trying to work it out. Then thought to check the mousetraps - yep. Believed they'd all been sorted weeks ago but apparently not. Bugger.

Good morning tooting friends. It felt like quite a warm night last night, but apparently it was only 7c. The sun is just above the hills now & it’s heading to a lovely 27c today. Not too bad, there will be windows & doors open. I need to mow the lawns again but might leave it until tomorrow.
My […]
