Newspaper cartooning is the hardest art career paths to get into. Much harder than getting into animation. I worked 10+ years honing my comics before I got my opportunity.

Many people wouldn’t put that same effort into it, especially when most consider the funnies a dead medium.

My favorite part of indie comics is there is no gatekeeper.

You just write it, draw it/get someone to draw it, and you post it/sell it.
