Clearly, because he hasn’t just outright said “we should kill trans kids” that means his thin veneer of “just asking questions” is actually real and he has never taken actions to harm trans people ever.

Cheaper, faster, and easier to recover. Not much else to it really

Do you have a link to that video? I’d like to archive it so that if they start wiping things there’s as many copies as possible

I just got a NASA internship! 160 hours of work with a mentor expert with a $1k stipend at the end, and the opportunity to get your name on real research! Let’s say a prayer that it isn’t cancelled. It’s on the 5th year of a 5 year grant so we’re hopeful and fully expect it to happen as of now

JUST IN: Mitch McConnell will NOT seek reelection next year.

If you break it down state by state (not just popular vote), even with the greatest turnout in recent history (Biden), Trump wins the EC. You can verify the numbers yourself, it’s a narrow win, but it’s a win. The issue wasn’t decreased dems, it was increased reps in swing states

The reason Kamala lost wasn’t decreased turnout from the left. If you ran Biden’s 2020 numbers against Trump’s 2024 numbers, Trump wins (albeit by a more narrow margin). What happened was Trump energized his base with fear and empty promises. That, or massive voter fraud. Idk which is worse honestly

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Elon Musk did a Nazi salute, and he is a fascist. No two ways about it.

It’s only gonna get better! I’ve got heaps of data on many objects, but I got a good amount of broadband data on Orion which I’ll merge into this H-alpha so the stars are proper colored and all (plus the reflection nebulosity)

Nice shots! What camera and telescope did you use? I would recommend checking out GraXpert, it can remove the light pollution gradient you have in both shots and make it easier to pull out faint detail

first light with my new camera, quick 45 min or so integration. Big improvement over the DSLR

Scope: Apertura 60mm f/6 APO
Mount: Skywatcher Star Adventurer GTi
Camera: ZWO ASI533MC Pro
Filter: Optolong L-eXtreme 7nm Duo Narrowband Ha Oiii
Integration: 61x45s
The Orion Nebula, a bright star forming region in space surrounded by lots of faint dust. Stars surround the image imbedded in flux. The core of the nebula is bright while the edges are dim

WAKE UP BABE, A NEW JWST IMAGE OF THE SOMBRERO GALAXY DROPPED!!! 🌌
The galaxu is a very oblong, blue disk that extends from left to right at an angle (from about 10 o’clock to 5 o’clock). The galaxy has a small bright core at the centre. There is a clear inner disk that has speckles of stars scattered throughout. The outer disk of the galaxy is whiteish-blue, and clumpy, like clouds in the sky.

Orion for a boy, Andromeda for a girl. How I’m considering naming my kids too…

yeah there’s 3 or 4 in a year but you can usually find some qualifier that makes it “rare” like our recent blue supermoon. Both are common enough but together you can sort of argue it’s rare. Issue is it’s not different from any other supermoon because a blue moon is just a quirk of our calendar

Phobos over Mars

My album about Phobos: flic.kr/s/aHBqjAvrQL
An image taken from orbit shows the potato-shaped satellite Phobos orbiting Mars. The perspective places Phobos very close to the Martian limb. Phobos appears predominantly gray, while the surface of Mars displays tones ranging from rusty red to the bluish hue of its outer atmospheric layer. The craters on Mars are larger than those on Phobos, however, the camera scanning the satellite causes the view of the Martian surface to appear stretched as it moves by.

The website vs app split for Bluesky vs Threads captures the difference in user base and usage patterns beautifully.

Bluesky = knowledge sector workers who have it open all day in a tab next to their emails. “Wait what was I doing again?”

Threads = normies watching recipe videos on the commute.
