Heading home after holiday trips to both Calgary and Toronto
It's interesting being someone who walks,bikes and occasionally takes transit.
Calgary isn't good. Toronto is better than it was. I'm coming home appreciating Ottawa and also hatibg parts of it.

OSEG must be pleased they held their expensive fundraisers for Sutcliffe, they paid off. I'm sure they'll reward him in the next election cycle as well

I'm so glad that we have an OPS location in the market, so that they can just ignore the laws there as well, and park on the sidewalk.

I wonder how many trucks have been driven over it. Deliveries, just stopping for a minute, maintenance, city, etc
We build infrastructure then destroy it by driving on it. Also, I'm very sad to see the fountains gone. They were covered up in 2016 and then ripped out with the reno I guess.

I took the train up to Montreal on Monday for the day and saw so many wonderful things, including these!

I found this awhile back. Apparently the old stumps were visible for when the water was low in the winter. Similar to how the old Causeway foundations are visible today

I used this route, crossing St Laurent headed east just south of the 417 I to the industrial area. Cyrville wasn't a pleasure to bike on but it did have a painted bike lane and no on/off ramps to cross.

I usually go through the farm instead but it takes more time and I need to get off and walk through the POW/Baseline intersection and associated sidewalks/slip lanes.

I think looking at this NCC map its northern boundary is the O Train. Interestingly the news release only mentioned City Cntr to Preston so I guess OCTranspo doesn't have to give up their giant ugly pointless parking lot in the A1 block just yet 😕

Lots of spots between Pimisi and where the MUP splits a few hundred meters ahead have been damaged. I'm not quite sure how they drive around the bench and then hit the railing though.
Obviously it was the bikes fault. If we ripped out that bike lane I'm sure we'd solve it. 🙃
