Ottawa resident for the past few decades. I'm passionate about biking, the outdoors, municipal politics and urban places for people. I'm also a nurse and believe in science and vaccines. Oh and I love local beer on a fun patio. 🏳️‍🌈
I've always regretted not being able to get to that concert

Disgraced former mayor Jim Watson's legacy is the gift that just keeps making our city worse

100%

You just have to stand there for a few minutes to see drivers ignore it

So many spots in Centretown alone where OPS could just station someone and generate lots of revenue

Seems basic and cities prioritized enforcement for decades. Not sure why our city isn't making OPS enforce basic traffic laws 🤷

Ah the lasting joys of Ottawa's poor infrastructure and procurement practices

Poor quality concrete, who ever could have guessed. It's our "balanced approach" paying dividends 🤡

Just wait for the unfunded water/sewage surprises that are coming

Are you saying that they already removed the sculpture Moving Surfaces by Canadian artist Jill Anholt from the Landsdowne canal area? It is absurd to destroy a decade-old piece of civic art commissioned for $4M at all, but if it is already gone, where's the respect part?

Of course he won't

Hopefully the auditor or ethics commissioner will though

Taggart of course. They also offer some of the biggest "donations" to councillors re-election campaigns

Anything to do with that company and municipal politics should be suspect IMO

As far as I know, there's no mention of price. But building a new one is somewhere between $450 million to $750 million.

Not bad for a $8.5M plus effort starting cost, and getting your friend elected.

Wait, didn't you just ensure the PWHL will leave Ottawa with your ridiculous Lansdowne 2.0 handout to OSEG?

I distinctly remember you trashing the league in response to their concerns. Something about having US owners

Presumably they didn't hold a $1200/person fundraising for you the way OSEG did

I'd actually prefer they stay out of my neighbourhood

It should be easy for them, they were nowhere to be seen during the KKKonvoy occupation for 5 weeks

Is he though? He knows people will only seem the first, positive headline. I think he's actually just fine with lying or doing whatever it takes to get re-elected. He sees something useful and could care less about its accuracy as long as he can benefit

Dishonest, cunning and manipulative perhaps
