Please give them all the love they deserve for the fairly sub par quality we provide to those that need accessibility.

We need to do what we can to ensure they're not third class citizens.

If you think it sucks being an able body passenger - wait till you're differently abled in any format 😁
♿Reminder: City of Ottawa invites you to take part in a survey and public consultations to help shape the next OC Transpo Accessibility Plan.

Are you saying that they already removed the sculpture Moving Surfaces by Canadian artist Jill Anholt from the Landsdowne canal area? It is absurd to destroy a decade-old piece of civic art commissioned for $4M at all, but if it is already gone, where's the respect part?

As far as I know, there's no mention of price. But building a new one is somewhere between $450 million to $750 million.

Not bad for a $8.5M plus effort starting cost, and getting your friend elected.

Dear Canadian politicians at all levels,

If you maintain a presence on Twitter/X I will not vote for you, no matter what your platform is.

I will consider your continued presence there an endorsement of the sexual exploitation of women and children

My latest for The Tyee! Video coming soon :)

Long story short: why the fuck are our politicians not even trying to properly move, en masse, off a platform that is now the top creator of AI deepfakes, non-consensually violating women and kids?

I also spoke with a victim.

Her story is powerful:
“Seeing the bikini one was incredibly violating, but then seeing that they could ultimately create a full nude of me felt so embarrassing and so shameful.”

Oh no 😬

@ctvnewsottawa.bsky.social got spun by Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and ran a story about the “study” based on data from a dubious Serbian website

The website carries a disclaimer that the data is unvetted and they don’t guarantee it is “accurate or reliable”

What Ottawa and other municipalities need is not a bailout from higher levels of government. We need to address why it is we can't afford to maintain our core infrastructure. Simply put, our low density, sprawling neighbourhoods have far more infrastructure than they pay in property taxes.
