According to the UN Commission & many other independent & respected bodies, this has been a genocide by Israel.
The destruction has few parallels in modern warfare. The result has been a dismembered wrecked society. Some respected public health experts have put the death toll in the 100,000s.

Houses, businesses, schools, hospitals & neighbourhoods that supported Palestinian lives have been pulverised to rubble by Israel. People in Gaza have been left with almost nothing.
In response to the Hamas attack, Israel has unleashed unprecedented & excessive demolition.

A rally organised by Tommy Robinson should be a slam dunk for a Labour government.

Most people will recognise it as being led by the far right (and will not identify themselves as such). Violence is predictable too.

The PMs and ministers should have been ready to respond immediately.

Many pundits today are pushing the line that everyone who protests the genocide in Gaza is basically either antisemitic or tolerant of antisemitism. But isn't that precisely the conflation of the actions of the Israeli gov't with all Jewish people, which is at the heart of this wave of antisemitism?

I am alarmed and upset by this emerging news of attacks at a synagogue on Yom Kippur.

The rise in religious hate crimes in this country is totally unacceptable - there is no excuse for antisemitism and no excuse for violence.

NEW: Home Office announces planned new anti-protest powers, mainly aimed at pro-Gaza protests like those for Palestine Action. Police will be able to consider the "cumulative impact" of repeated protests and potentially order that they be relocated.
