It’s the “democracy” in “democratic socialism” that corporatists most object to, not the socialism—my latest for @fairmediawatch.bsky.social!

What Scares Establishment Media Most Is Not Socialism But Democracy
If everyday people realize they don’t need overpaid consultants to win real change, how long can the status quo be maintained by its beneficiaries?

What does Dem nominee for NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani’s trip to see family have to do with the mass murder that took place in midtown Manhattan a week ago? Absolutely nothing
The @nytimes.com reported Mamdani was “facing growing criticism for his absence overseas.” The New York Post faulted Mamdani for his “tardy response to the shooting,” pointing out that he “finally offered a tweet 45 minutes after his rivals”—when it was 4 am in Kampala.

I am as reliable a Dem voter and activist as you are likely to find, and I am *LIVID* with the Dem establishment and Dem leadership.

They are a clown masterclass right now.

This Mamdani energy, though? PUT IT IN MY VEINS.
It’s hard to overstate how angry rank and file Dems are at the Dem establishment right now. And if I were a self-preservationist incumbent I would take note.
