When productionizing a jam game, do you usually rewrite everything or refactor in place?

when building a game, you just keep on developing internal tools..
you think you won't need them and then later you do.

In this case: I needed to inspect how different terrain textures
influence grip and other driving behavior..

The problem with talking about being in crisis-mode is that each crisis is different and the impact is different. Right now I'm in crisis mode like this one, where the thing I'm freaking out about probably won't happen but could be really, really terrible if it did. Maybe I'll roll high?

Took a break from the project I should be working on for a little side quest. I've wanted to try making a desktop idle game for a while now.

Little Desktop Runner sits on your desktop and is about going for runs and slowly improving.

Wishlists appreciated!

Got a lil' bit fed up with myself for how much of my output lately has been fanart, wanted to try making something that was ENTIRELY me for a change.

Hope everyone enjoys my new son as much as I do 🌱💙

An even more egregious example in the article: Ubisoft accepted 6 million euros from the German government in some sort of arts fund, only to machine translate the German language option.

Strange that the Steam version of Godot has strange UI focus issues for me, but the downloaded executable doesn't.

In case anyone has been wondering why a certain Godot camera addon has been on a bit of an unintended dev hiatus since summer 🥲
Can finally reveal what we have been working on! 🔪

Also marks my first project as a UI/UX lead, which has been quite an exciting experience, to say the least.

Robot Detour, my first Steam release and small puzzle magnum opus, turns 1 today! 🎉

store.steampowered.com/app/2666840/...

It's on -50% sale for a week (just 3 bucks), you literally have no excuse to try this game.

It's short (~3 hours) and inventive!
1 year in and we're still at 100% positive 💚

The best part of #GodotFest was leading people through unfamiliar Munich streets in the dark with nobody really checking if I was getting us lost.

I don't wanna give Deutsche Bahn any ideas, but tbh I'd rather my whole train be cancelled than have literally every toilet on a three hour train be out-of-order!

Highlights from #godotfest let’s fucking goooo

- randomly meeting *some guy* who turned out to be @smitner.studio and absolutely losing it

- a dinner party that just kept growing, like one massive snowball of game devs and godot contributors

- the plant rendering speaker talking about TREE-ometry

What felt like the biggest compliment at #GodotFest was being asked how much I doctor my screenshots :D
I myself think the game looks way better in motion.
My only trick is I made a button/script to pause gameplay without locking the camera. That way I get a janky photo mode, but I don't even use it

Did not post for a long time, have been busy mostly working on gameplay.
So here is a small update on the lighted scene, but it will still be filled with more gameplay content.

Also those are wind-waker lights using Stencil Buffer.
