I'm probably not gonna have this job I have right now in a matter of months and people just don't seem interested in hiring someone like me. I don't know what to do. Probably gonna wind up in a warehouse or something.

I've also considered writing and publishing original fiction (I do in fact have an idea for a novel) but I don't think writing can be a job for me. Certainly not with my historically poor luck.

I just feel trapped right now.

Video editing as a career was probably a mistake but the path to career change is scary as hell. Like, going back to school to get a teaching degree would be great but I'd probably still have to work the whole time. That or I need to get hitched to someone significantly wealthier than me.

The movement and combat are usually very fun and that's what matters most in a game like this it's just *really* fuckin long and that makes the problems more apparent.

I've been a bit harsh on Hollow Knight while playing it but it is still good. 30 hours is just a long time to spend on any Metroidvania, let alone one that consistently asks as much of the player as this one.
