Anyway, I have a book to finish. Y’all be easy and guard your peace today

I'm not deleting but I only follow like 5 people here and when this shitty platform inevitably dies I'll be chilling with my books. Y'all be well

Today has been a confirmation. Between the black people I've seen carrying water for the dead racist and bluesky clamping down on people because they're not mourning the dead racist it's become obvious that i am not made for this place. I've blocked more people today than in the last year
September 11, 2025 at 10:58 AM
so is there a way to block everyone on a list?

Time to delete that one Feels like I'm gonna be completely off the internet soon
I don't know how I feel about Storygraph using AI...

They just posted that it uses sustainable energy...

But I still feel some kinda way about it...

"I apologise if..."

Sure 🙄

Called it. I especially like the way it's carefully crafted to imply that Me too and BLM were unfair, disrespectful, rash and not thoughtful.

notice how everyone being interviewed clocked her and went out of their way to give her a chance to not be awful and she powered through it anyway. but somehow the story will be that she didn't mean it and it was an accident

so there's an old saying that any headline that has a question can usually be answered with no. i'm on book 8 of wheel of time and the answer is a resounding no, it is not worth anyone's time to read all those books

so they blurred the face of the racists but were happy to show the victims face. good to know
Sickening footage from Nuneaton tonight, where a Sky News interview with a local businessman was disrupted by racists hurling abuse.

Another local said, "Warwickshire Council Council has gone to Reform... It's given certain people a licence to be aggressive and racist."

the bullshit age verification has finally affected my account. literally nothing in this world will get me to scan my face and upload ID to use social media so we'll see how long before i delete

ICYMI: The Future Ancients by Mwenya S. Chikwa is a 2025 Nommo Award finalist in the Short Story category

Chikwa's work was aptly described as “a wildly imaginative and enjoyable Africanfuturist space opera” by Reactor Mag.

So well deserved. Congratulations, @prisoner187.bsky.social

⚠️ 1.3 million people acquired HIV in 2024 alone, including thousands of adolescent girls and young women.

Today, in a landmark move towards HIV prevention, WHO recommends twice-yearly injectable lenacapavir as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to protect people at risk of HIV.

This is one of the reasons self-published books have such a bad rep. It’s not because you publish a book on your own that you don’t need to check for plot holes, grammar, etc. If you’re going to skip traditional publishing do it well

Dear authors,

I love you all too much to let you think you don’t need an editor.

Everybody needs an editor

I cannot believe how much HP crap people post this far into the timeline. Beloved, please find another book to make your personality

It's easy for me. I am not currently writing anything and I have no audience I'm trying to reach. I post what I want, when I want because I'm not creating any content. I'm just chilling
Do I create content for the algorithm or just post whatever makes me happy? The real question is... can you do both anymore without losing your mind?

maybe. i don't get into other people's relationships. fish cuckoldry wouldn't be the weirdest thing i've ever seen on the internet

i think those might be bad narrators. many audiobooks bring the story to life and good voice acting is a big part of that
Cleaning would be easier for me because it’s so monotone. Cooking would be another story
April 5, 2025 at 7:45 PM
both. if i'm on the bus or walking then i'm just listening. if i'm at home i'm usually cooking or cleaning etc
When you listen to an audiobook do you just sit there or do you, like…do things?

On an unrelated note, I've been reading the wheel of time series for the last 2 years. This could have been 5 books
March 26, 2025 at 6:53 PM
Agreed. Most of you don't have enough story for the 10 part epic you think you're writing. If you even bother to write it *cough* you know who *cough*
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I need authors to bring back standalones. #blackbooksky
