Brilliant reporting here by Gareth Hutchens on the Atlas Network and its insidious work across the world, including Australia

A discreet intellectual network has been reshaping the world for 70 years. Here's how
A constant battle of ideas reshapes the world we live in, and few groups have been more successful in winning the war than the little-known Atlas Network.

Whether it's illegal to say it or not (?), Israel is quite clearly committing genocide in Palestine. The Australian government (but not the Australian people) is quite clearly supporting it. And our farce of a democracy is being further eroded so people don't speak this truth.

Wtf @albomp.bsky.social?
How is advocating for genocide not a hate crime?
@alisonbyrnesmp.bsky.social, didn't you march across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in peotest of an ongoing genocide?
In Albo's new antisemitism bill, the definition of "hate crime", which underpins the new regime to proscribe "hate groups" like the Nazis, specifically excludes "advocating genocide". That is, advocating genocide is treated as not being a racist hate crime. Now, why would that be?

Piffle. 'Divisive' isn't a rebuke for a cartoonist, it's a requirement. People express their divided opinions & beliefs on every political cartoon, opinion piece, whether they want a cup of tea & increasingly, on scientific facts. Often in articles & 'letters to the editor' solicited by the SMH.

The first time Charlie Chaplin spoke onscreen, he implored the people of the world to resist the rising tide of fascism.

Nearly 90 years later, it remains a timely message.

The point is that, while criminal proceedings are on foot, a royal commission can't look at anything to do with the Bondi shootings or the shooters, including why and how they did it, that is it can't touch on the subject that is its sole reason for being established. It will achieve nothing.
There's a glaring problem with calls for a royal commission into the Bondi terror attack
Australians deserve answers after the Bondi Beach shooting — but a royal commission won't deliver them.

What a surprise!?
Someone who doesn't like protests, when given the opportunity to ban them, does.
FMD Chris Minns is a stooge.
Pfft democracy, who needs it. Let police decide whether or not any protests can occur

Let’s take a moment to appreciate that on learning Trump was in the Epstein files, congressional Republicans fled Washington & ran home.

It is moral cowardice on an unprecedented historical scale.

If passed, the misleadingly named 'Conservation Hunting Bill' tabled in NSW Parliament this week by the Shooters Party would waste taxpayer $$, threaten to undermine effective feral animal control approaches, and could lead to the protection of feral animals for recreational hunters.
