FUNNY STORY you have to get approval to use the 11 pointed Maple Leaf, which is why we didn't use it (it wasn't worth the hassle), but Heated Rivalry ABSOLUTELY DOES which means that someone, somewhere in the mires of Canadian bureaucracy approved that fleece.

I wish I'd realized sooner that "kill your darlings" doesn't mean "cut stuff even if you like it" it means "examine every word in your story and if it's not contributing to the main plot/character development, it doesn't belong there, period."
