My kitchen looks like a crime scene, but juicing the haul of pomegranates I got on sale at Krogers was an excellent decision. Home juiced tastes very, very different from Pom. Like a thousand times better!

It’s really strange the vice president of the United States is a white supremacist, who says white supremacist slogans, who publicly praises and follows the work of white supremacists, and it’s simply not mentioned or discussed in political media

I did a week-long "study abroad" trip in high school, about 1996ish?, only needed my birth certificate to go/return. Wish it were still that smooth everywhere

In the early 90s, crossing the border into the US from Mexico, I presented my US DL and BC. The agent didn't believe my BC was real, but eventually let me go. The other passengers weren't questioned about their papers. Ironically, I was probably the only one with legitimate papers in that van.

When Return of the Kings came out, the multiplex near me did a marathon showing of all the extended versions culminating in the premiere of part 3 at midnight. Me and a bunch of other nerds spent about 12 hours in the theater that day, not a single complaint 😅
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
