Burr was getting credit from the left for sometimes talking about oligarchs. But mostly changing his misogynistic jokes from "women" to "white women". White women have/make problems, but his jokes are just stale rehashes.

It was never left wing or even liberal. It was very hostile to Feminism, and guileless about foreign policy from the federal government. Opinion page sucked.

But straight news was based on facts and reality. Not anymore.

It's the "union" of rank and file officers that are the problem. Mayor's and city councils appointment reform chiefs and then give up facing the rank and file.
Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco PDs have been on a silent strike since "defund the police" was uttered.

It's also part of their revolution fantasy. There has to be guns and violence, because otherwise a) how can they martyr themselves for the cause, or b) how can they be the Chosen One who survives. So many revolution fantasies are just YA novels and they've already cast themselves as the protagonist
