If Trump had remained strong and confident about vaccines, they would have gotten vaccines. If he advocated for masks and other measures they would have followed. But he titillated their surly teenager brains and played to their emotions.

It is wrong to say that anyone wearing a masks is there to cause trouble. It is correct to say most people there who are causing trouble are wearing masks (on both sides).

But part of what we are fighting for is the right to do as we please.

I've been to No Kings protests. Zero masks. Nobody is doing anything that would require them to wear a mask.

The main purpose of DOGE was to scrape data out of the government and give it to people who will monetize it and use it to dole out government money and services based on our individual political profile.

In that regard, it was a huge success.

Seems like a tough standard for Republicans to meet.

I suspect that if "bad guys" decide to hijack a No Kings event, they would join in the evening - after dark.

No Kings should insist that the protest end at 5PM and that everyone go home after that time.

The very concept of being a "longtime proponent" of using the Insurrection Act proves that it is being misused. By its own terms, the Act is to respond to a exigent threat needing immediate and short-term response, so concerning that the Constitutional rights of the citizens can be overridden. +
