Believer in rule of law above all other things. I don't care how many people follow me. I'm not here to entertain. I want to raise the level of discourse and learn.
Sickening.
So....the Fourth Reich?

Dems need to develop a bigger-than-Trump platform, BUT they also need to make it clear that the 2026 elections are an opportunity to control Trump. It's not just about giving him a failing grade for what he's done. It's about making 2027 and 2028 better for all Americans.

I said this a a joke, but I bristle sometimes when people say, "I'm not a lawyer, but ..." I think it's important that people feel comfortable learning our key laws starting with the Constitution. It's NOT rocket science and a law degree is not required. You need to be a lawyer to dispense advice.
I'm a lawyer. One day in Con Law the professor explained that entry onto/into private property for arrest requires a warrant.

There. Now you all know what a lawyer knows. No more excuses!

I heard about someone killed during an ICE car chase. How does ICE have any authority to engage in car chases? They are usually driving rented SUVs with no warning lights. They are not trained in car chases.
Every ICE officer who has broken the law should be arrested, tried, and imprisoned for their crimes.

Quite rare to have so much news on the NYT before there's any mention of Trump.

With Orban's election coming in April, and Orban behind in the polls, it's pretty clear that the Trump administration is working to keep the global slide into authoritarianism moving.

A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

If there's a Democrat you don't want to vote for, then go work your ass off in the primary for the candidate you want in the general. That's what happened in NJ with Analilia Mejia. But don't just whine about centrist Dems. And if the nominee is a centrist Dem, shut the fuck up and vote for them.

Assuming the pendulum swings to Dems, the rebuilding of the DOJ has to be a top priority. To make that work, Congress needs to reinforce DOJ's independence in ways that a future Trump cannot unwind.

Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.
