Atmospheric river season is my favorite time of year. More rain, please! This is not a sarcastic post.
Atmospheric river to soak Pacific Northwest through Thanksgiving week
Several inches of rain falling over a few days through Thanksgiving will slow motorists during the busiest travel week of the year, as a surge of moisture arrives ashore from the Pacific.

I’ve been on edge almost a week waiting for this post! Delightful news.
SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

I would like to enjoy this massive victory. Unfortunately, all I can do is wonder what horrible thing SCOTUS plans for next, since they gave us this win.

Last night was electric until results started to come in for Seattle mayor. I hope the late ballots change the outcome because Bruce Harrell is horrible.

living in the US is like staying at a 2.5 star hotel in hell. it’s miserable. you’re exhausted most days. but at least there’s wifi, doordash, and a roof over your head. it’s a hot mess, but you prepaid. so you can’t just leave. even tho you know u absolutely should check the f*ck out immediately.

Describing the president who is sending troops to war against cities in America as “controversial deployments” is beyond the pale. Do better @kuow.org
President Donald Trump said Saturday he will send troops to Portland, Oregon, “authorizing Full Force, if necessary” to handle “domestic terrorists” as he expands his controversial deployments to more American cities.

What an incredible thing to watch!
I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

Love to see it. I’d expect the careless number will increase now that light rail has expanded. We use ours less because it’s so much easier to travel via light rail.

If you build public transit, people will use it.
More than 300,000 riders used the 2 Line in July, a 47% increase over June. Averaging more than 10,000 daily riders, the 10-station line rivals the busiest King County Metro routes in terms of usage.

The death of Malcolm-Jamal Warner has me feeling so gutted. He gets a lot of attention for playing Theo Huxtable, as he should.

That being said, I’d love to see discussion some of his other roles.

I recently finished watching The Resident and his performance as AJ Austin was so underrated.

It shouldn’t be revolutionary to suggest that every single person who is on “the list” should go to jail. I don’t care who you are, molesting and exploiting children is disgusting and illegal.

If we can’t defend against violations of our civil rights, are they considered rights at all?
Clarence Thomas said the Court should "reexamine" a century-old section of federal law: Section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act of 1871 (42 U.S.C. §1983) is a federal law that allows for the suing of state and local govt officials for violating constitutional rights. www.newsweek.com/supreme-cour...
