I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense
Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used

It finally happened. I finally ran into a Youtube video with that awful auto-dubbing feature turned on.
The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭
Why did they ever think this was a good feature to implement?

Update: I emailed the opt-out address listed on their website and got a reply. But, I never. Should. Have. Had. To. Opt. Out. I’m so tired of these tech companies & their entitlement. DoorDash putting small restaurants on their apps w/o permission, AI scraping our sites, & now this? It’s exhausting

I want to put out a note on this as well- I know that my site has issues (mostly host side stuff) but learning the how-to from essentially scratch with Wordpress has been worth it for full control. I am (and I'm unsure if this is possible with Shopify) able to block Am*zon's crawler bot entirely.

My WoL is def queer! No strong preference based on gender, and is asexual. Which does cause her concerns about romance with others who are not ace.
