The writing was on the wall. TikTok became more racist and sexist and allowed more and more right wing propaganda when it was trying to not be shut down by the federal government, starting under the Biden administration. It was a good old fashion hostile corporate takeover and the fed helped.
Not to be that person but yep. And none of it is accidental or only about profit.
TikTok was sold overnight and the algorithm immediately became trash.

I'm always suspicious when Haitian people refer to the lwa as gods or goddesses. Even in Haitian vodou, there is only one singular god, Bondje. And the lwa are spiritual intermediaries and ancestors.

@lacity.bsky.social This makes me extremely happy. There was a crosswalk sign that was twisted so you couldn't see whether or not you could cross the street from the ramp off of the 10. I put in a request with the city and within a few days, it was fixed.

TikTok has changed dramatically for the worse. It's hard to see any content from outside of the United States and 70% of that content is a QVC-style content creator shouting at us to buy their products.
