Just been back at the other place and it’s even worse than I remember - Divisive, hate-filled algorithmic bias runs rampant.
But while the content here is far more balanced, I’m sad to say BlueSky is also failing to engage and link likeminded people with smaller accounts.
I miss pre-Elon Twitter.

Patriots 🏴 before blaming all your woes on a government who’ve held power for less than 16 months, consider that your Brexit vote caused a 4–5% GDP shortfall, equivalent to £120bn per year in lost UK output. By rights, that’s £6,892 per year that you individually owe the rest of us! #BrexitHasFailed
Have to say, it’s no comfort AT ALL surveying the Brexit wreckage knowing there are other (lesser) reasons for the damage.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
