10 years ago Mark Carney warned about the "existential threat" posed by climate catastrophe and the need to move from fossil fuel burning.
Now he is using Stephen Harper's lines about becoming an "energy super power."
This is a powerful analysis on the MOU.

The Pipeline MOU is a Tragic Failure of Vision
At best, Mark Carney capitulated to Danielle Smith's backward view of the future. At worst, the Prime Minister shares that view

Mark Carney once declared the climate crisis as the existential threat of our time.
Now as COPP 30 is burning down he promotes a massive increase in oil production.
But he throws responsibility for resistance on BC and First Nations.
He is burning his credibility on a dead end project.

This is not a nation-building exercise.

As you vote today, hold true to Jack’s final message to Canada:

“My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world.”

And, Charlie, thank you for your tireless, inspiring service.
On my last night as MP, I thank Jack Layton for inspiring me to run for public office.
Jack made me believe it was possible to do politics with integrity. He loved our country and he loved people.
He said politics was about getting your hands dirty and taking chances to make life better for people

We have a real economist running Canada now. The TSX went down 0.8% while the three US indices all went down about 2.5% on Monday. The Canadian dollar is back up around .72 US. Would we be stupid enough to replace our economist with a Trump-like politician?

Sometimes it sits in the back of my mind, waiting for the right moment. And sometimes, it changes everything. And yet, when it comes to students, we often act as if feedback is something we…
