We Democrats have one bit of leverage, the cloture vote, and some of our senators are giving it up and getting NOTHING in return. It’s like they don’t know how to negotiate.

It’s important to put a face to what canceling funding means. And to state the obvious, the government’s action against Columbia has nothing to do with fighting antisemitism.
I received one of the 232 NIH grant "terminations" sent to scientists at Columbia last night. My research focuses on improving maternal and child health in the US. Also affected: ongoing clinical trials, research training programs, and research centers that aim to improve the health of Americans.

After yesterday's events in the White House, Haltbakk Bunkers, one of Norway's largest marine fuel companies, appears to have announced that it will no longer refuel American Navy vessels.
