In a world that perpetuates false hierarchies, suggesting that some animals, people, or environments are more valuable than others, it is important to recognize that these distinctions are imaginary.

Practicing compassion is one of the most powerful forms of resistance available to us.

The hatred of disabled people is definitely dialed up & how frequently people are using slurs for us is a metric. They see us as subhuman & they harbor & will abet with regime's eugenicism.

The cowardice of ICE is unmatched. Not only do they have to carry out their work obscuring their faces militarized against people working in kitchens but they are so in their fee fees about being called out as fascist or being compared to history's terror squads, which they are among.

The military shot water cannons at protestors at Standing Rock

Aime Cesaire's Discourse on Colonialism comes to mind. Trump's great sin will be remembered as doing to white people what everybody does to Black and Indigenous people. This is objectively awful, but it didn't happen in a vaccum
The Trump administration shredded the Posse Comitatus Act when they issued an executive order today deploying US military troops on US soil to deal with “law and order.” Not to be alarmist, but in any other country we would call this a significant step towards martial law.
