I say stuff, make stuff, play stuff and write stuff.

That's a lot of stuff.

Just come to the realisation that Science is basically the same thing as one of those people that can't help but say "Actually" at absolutely everything and now I hate Science.

For a while I've been a believer in paying attention to what "alternative" news sources have as their output (esp. as they command an increased share of the audience) and if this opinion piece doesn't summarise why Labour kowtowing to the right won't work idk what will www.gbnews.com/opinion/shab...
Shabana Mahmood's visa ban has one glaring omission. Ducking this country exposes her real plan - Adam Brooks
If Shabana Mahmood were serious, Pakistan would’ve been the first name out of her mouth, writes publican and broadcaster Adam Brooks

The idea that someone who has arrived as a refugee in the UK (or anywhere) can "easily" return to their country of origin after years of living their life in the UK is insanity. Yet Labour's Steven Reed suggested this very thing this morning on BBCR4

The European Convention on Human Rights is at the point of being a talking point in the UK, and a lot of voices are calling for the UK to "reclaim its sovereignty" (again). So I figure it's probably worth pointing out a few things by asking "what has the ECHR done for me, a white guy?" [A thread]

The levels of "Yes the Labour Migration Policy is bad but at least it's not Reform" this morning is impressive levels of hand wringing.

Things >don't have to be shit< in spite of what the last 10-20 years have suggested. There's alternatives beyond those two Right Wing factories of terrible policy.

Unironically saying "I'm a Grok guy" is peak 2025. Very contemporary. Very powerful.
JD Vance: "I'm a Grok guy. I think it's the best. It's also the least woke."

Thinking about how to summarise the life of a millenial in as short a form possible and I think I've cracked the code.

1. Be a Millenial and grow up in a cool period of history
2. Panic for about a decade and kind of just don't do anything
3. EXPERIENCE BIJ
4. Do something about it(?)

Are you telling me that you can spend years appeasing the Right Wing but the one single time you don't do so they come after you like a shark with knees?

This is the first time in a long time that a message of Hope for the future has been broadcast from the United States; I can only hope that the UK sits up and pays attention to Mamdani's NYC victory.

It's been nice to wake up and read the news with a smile on my face at least once this year.

This is yet another example of how you beat the far right. By beating them, not trying to be them. By having your own agenda, not aping theirs. With courage and conviction - and humour - not fear and timidity.

Been thinking a lot recently about how people in my age range (30-40; also millenial) view Reform, Labour etc. and if "limiting immigration" is a key policy for those people...

Bold assumptions this week by the UK opposition / press that the reason for the CPS dropping the ball on Chinese spies is because of economic prospects with China.

No it's because the UK Government would collapse if anything approaching non official capacity (as in this case) was brought to a court

If you told me that it'd be the Liberal Democrats that would be first to fire a shot across Reform's bow I'd have told you yeah probably. The party with little to lose by doing so taking the safe bet isn't new in British Politics.

Still, it's about time someone did ya?

Been on what can only be described as a hot streak in Overwatch Stadium and I must admit getting ~40 Points per win is really fun and exciting and doing a lot to keep me engaged.

At this point in American history, it's beyond irresponsible to be a political reporter and not have complete familiarity with groypers (and their conflicts with Kirk).

Is being extremely online leading to radicalisation?

Well that depends, do we agree with the radicalisation?
