There's an interesting split developing in business productivity software (word-processors/spreadsheets/search etc). Firms are falling into two categories.
- You WILL pay for this and we'll force it in your face (Google etc)
- It's there, but you don't have to use it (Kagi/Zoho etc)

The consequences that befall Musk now that he's attacked Trump publicly will be a measure of how well the US fits the competitive authoritarian model. The more severe, the better the fit. I despise Musk, but for the sake of US democracy, I hope his punishment doesn't violate the rule of law.
