Yeah, I've learned that, with my sketchy style, the best way to do a background is to very quickly and loosely draw in some shapes that are about what would be visible if it were blurred out. "Blurry photograph background" is exactly what I'm going for.

Exactly this. Every time I've found AI useful has been something simple but tedious, with no creativity involved. The kind of things a human wouldn't want to do, and where mistakes aren't a huge risk. AI art is an abomination.
