Birthdays are the eternal pause that mourn in welcome when I come home - fractals of my non-thetical consciousness of being cleaved to the diapente of the surrendered blend of age.

This digital map and archive of Italian punk zines from the 1980s has been blowing my mind all day. Some of it is weird to load but it's worth the effort. Tons of energy! Some interesting art zines too. paolopalmacci.it/capitmundi/b...

Beautiful! Poetry and its seduction of the dust off the poet's debris feels like an affine involution of both, seducing away the orthographic for the light to settle on.
Poetry embraces me behind the wall, she picks up
her skirt and lets me see, loving and loony.
Bad things happen, I tell her,
I, too, am a child of God
Allow me to despair
Her answer is to draw her hot tongue
across my neck;
She says rod to calm me,
she says stone, geometry

If you are going to be raptured tomorrow, might I recommend some rapture-reading for you by Gherasim Luca, as translated by the Semilians and introduced by Andrei Codrescu? See "the objective consequence of an objective amorous rapture" for guidelines.

I photographed my gardens in their Monsoon plerosis on an evening when "Sobrevivir a un fusilamiento: ocho historias reales" and a Gazan preserving books cut an ontogenetic stentorian in my heart - my heart needed an epicanthic of green, a Nicht that really is a Weltinnenraum, to write that night.

This does read like a riveting speculative piece. Textual interpretation used to have inexorable possibilities for discovery - all those allographic imports and transformational adjuncts - when the media for composition and typesetting were analogue, as opposed to self-effacing digital emendations.

My writing setup for quite a few nights now with platitude and hopelessness both a bilateral protomatter - a trefoil heeding both the "pure will" of Schopenhauer and the vigalitavedyantara of words and amphibrachs across a trefoil heeding Berezovsky's legatos for Medtner.

Thread. There's also the issue that good, intensive journalism costs money and takes an editing/publishing infrastructure - more than many individual writers can afford and manage on their own. Single-writer newsletters can't and won't save journalism.
As more journalists are driven out of their jobs, I keep hearing this drumbeat of "it's ok -- they can start their own newsletter or publication." Some can. But becoming your own business is a huge job, and will eliminate many talented reporters from the public sphere. Here's why. (1/5)
