I've never really used LinkedIn, as it was always a very privacy-averse place, but they'll now also be hoovering up your personal data to train GenAI models (as per their new T&Cs). The fact that this is opt-out rather than opt-in speaks volumes.

For @imc-leeds.bsky.social, I created two maps that highlight the explosion of census-taking in the Low Countries before vs. after the mid-15th century. This development follows Burgundian hearth count reforms but is also present in areas outside Burgundian rule. #MedievalSky

For the presentation of my colleague Ulbe Bosma's biography of Franz Junghuhn ('Leven op een vulkaan'), I used the @latest.allmaps.org editor to create a georeferenced IIIF version of Junghuhn's famous 1855 map of Java and its volcanoes (79 x 308 cm). Do have a look!
