I didn't realize the National Post still printed rebuttals to the usual reactionary slop
"It is possible to reject hatred against one group without embracing injustice toward another. The future of Jewish life, be it here in Canada or anywhere else, cannot be built on another people's erasure." -IJV National Coordinator Corey Balsam in National Post

Elon wanted to be on that island so badly. Had the assistant sending follow ups to the follow up emails to see if he could come through. Damn near begging to be let in. Pathetic loser.

There’s a lot that’s awful in the world right now. Tonight, I’m thinking of my hometown of Oshawa, which is losing 1200 GM jobs being transferred to the US as a result of Trump’s assault on Canada’s auto manufacturing. It’s so unnecessary and destructive. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
As GM Oshawa layoffs begin, workers leave the plant and enter an uncertain job market | CBC News
Friday marks the last day of work for up to 1,200 autoworkers, as GM cuts one of three shifts at its Oshawa plant. Some workers say they are looking out of province to find employment in the face of O...

“There’s no topping Premier Kinew” Carney says.

Was not familiar with his game!!!!
KINEW: [The press] want there to be a heated rivalry between Doug Ford and I, but we're on the same team.

CARNEY: I want you to just take that image – the heated rivalry between Doug Ford and Wab Kinew.

To set the record straight, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said today that about 30 per cent, or 1M, Albertans support independence. This is false. The latest IPSOS poll found about 15 per cent support for separation from Canada when those polled were informed about the "real-world consequences."

It isn’t covert (foreign interference) if they openly brag about it. More like foreign influence activity.

But I worry in that Brexit was started in the UK by extremists in the early 2000s. And the head of that movement may be the next UK PM in a few years. These movements can gain momentum.

Not only that but the banks were able to get away with inflating mortgages precisely because of the price gouging of immigrants being piled into former single family homes, they built a gravy train and then argued for its destruction because racism doesn’t give a fuck about bank accounts.

Here’s a Canadian story that is an example of cutting off your nose to spite your face:
The Conservatives decided to blame immigrants for the housing crisis. The news media parroted it without any inspection whatsoever and so ppl believed it. Demand and supply right?
WRONG.

Neither Canadian families nor individuals would rent a room in someone’s house as long-term housing.
Low and behold part of the renter’s market is cratering for landlords because of the lack of foreign students and therefore are finding it harder to pay their mortgage

So as an update from this I did hear back from 4/4 MPs that I contacted. I believe there is concern, but that there needs to be public pressure given *waves at US-Canada tensions*. But I believe that contacting your MP is a good way to do this. Tools to do so in the thread below. ⬇️
There is not a lot Canadians can do about ICE, but we can ask Parliament to investigate Canadian companies doing business with them, like Hootsuite. Call or email your MP - or contact the INDU House committee MPs. Will post link below. www.theglobeandmail.com/business/art...
