I read it only slightly differently: Trump is blaming Reiner for his own death, because to dislike Trump is to provoke Trump’s own brand of rage when people don’t like him. But I do think Trump is aware of his influence and tries to weaponize it, too
This post suggests he’s aware of how his influence works and he consciously hopes it leads to being killed for criticizing him

Jingle Jam 2025 is over and our Games Collection is no longer available. What a year—thank you!

However, Trust in Rust continues through Dec. 18th! Until then, you can still donate to their campaign or purchase their Rust skins with all proceeds going to our Jingle Jam charities.

I'm not even going to repost a screengrab of his post about Rob Reiner but man it really needs to be said every single day: Trump truly is the biggest piece of shit in the world, a man of absolutely no good qualities and seemingly limitless bad ones. Support for him is just so damning.

Well, fuck.

I’m starting to suspect that our ability to catch spree killers who leave the scene is extremely dependent on a functioning FBI…which we 100% do not have right now.

I think I would add that he would probably slash taxes but also slash the government, and lean into closer economic ties with the United States wherever possible as the solution to Canada's economic woes
And again I return to the fact that the "hope" he says he's giving Canadians is just doubling-down on the failure of neoliberalism and trickle-down economics that created the situation we're in, and will do nothing to actually fix anything.

Australian here 👋

Stop saying the tragedy in Sydney demonstrates that strict gun laws don’t work.

There were ZERO mass shootings in Australia in the two decades after strict gun laws were passed in 1996.

We have so much we need to do, but strict gun laws remain a critical part of the solution.

Robyn went pretty far over to the right-wing echo chamber over the last 4-5 years; she’s sounding more and more like a Post or Rebel “journalist”.
Nice to see that Globe and Mail columnist Robyn Urback is allowed to once again just totally twist my words and falsely smear me as antisemitic with zero professional consequences.

This is the second time she’s done this to me personally, and she’s done this to others too.

Such an awful person.

What gets me are the partisans who respond to this argument with "Nuh-uh! They're part of a team!"
The constitution begs to differ.
Since the various takes won’t die, I will offer my own:

We elect people to the House of Commons and to provincial legislatures, not trained seals. We should therefore expect our elected representatives to exercise their own judgment, and to not be surprised when they do so.
