Anyone who has walked through the woodland next to Sizewell C knows how magical it is. It’s is one of a kind and being destroyed for an overly complex, eye wateringly expensive and needless nuclear power plant. Still we get to keep nuke bombs under US control.

Someone made the mistake of saying Western culture was in danger last night. I read them the riot act, pointed out that although Ireland is part of the West, it has a separate culture & that that culture is central to our lives every day. When they tried arguing, I switched to Irish & they shut up.
