Spent the afternoon with the Atari 7800 up and grabbing footage for next vid.

Getting a start on this now (plus it’s a small one), because time is going to a bit patchy in the weeks post MIGW.

(Sadly not for good reasons…)

It’s my Atari 7800 set up - a shapely wedge of a console, with a green translucent Concerto (ie. an SD Multicart) and a modern gamepad connected.

Been quite a few weeks for the BBC Micro. Now we not only have effectively Zarch, now we have the first Beeb game to feature solid 3d graphics and texture mapping 😲

Having one of those "why didn't I think of this earlier" moments - and that's making a custom album in my photo library to highlight a few special things from this utter trashfire of a year.

Because sometimes, easily accessible memories of bright moments in a dark year can mean so darn much.

First night week of Games Week dusted (he says waiting for the train home).

I’ve been a little anxious over it - feeling like enough of a drag that I might not be good company.

But enough folks made me feel okay despite everything - and thx to them for that.

My experience was the same BITD - borrowed a friend's tape copy, and had a nightmare of a time.

Really only played it properly in more recent years as a result of being able to acquire a disk release, or play it under emulation.

Went to my folios shelf for #RandomGameSaturday & grabbed "Racing Destruction Set" on C64.

Darn interesting one with loads of tracks & cars to mess with, alongside building your own tracks…

…and nightmarish loads if cursed to play off cassette.

(Also Rock n Roll Racing is a distant descendant…)

Spectrum Next #Delphian progress: been working on the transition into space, and it's almost there... just needs a starfield, planets, the sun... Oh well, one step at a time...

I've also been rearranging code to use RAM banks so I only bank in code that's needed. Anyway, starfield next!😀
