Just having those feeling of personal doom eased off, even if only for a fraction of time has honestly, helped a fair bit.

Can't necessarily say I'm happy, but I'm feeling happier than I've been and a little more okay in my skin too.

(Which I guess is a big thing after all of 2025's hurt...)

Just gotta edit the last few bits in, do the usual dance of information pieces and a thumbnail and I guess it'll be ready as an early access piece tomorrow.

Taking the piss wouldn't really work as well - kind of playing it straight just makes it easier to accept it all like you say :)

It's a surprisingly fun game. Not too much depth to the combat, and it's fun providing you can accept the silliness (if you have to cross a water hazard, everyone can magically breathe underwater.

I don't think it's one you'll play for a long time, but you can have a good time with it :)

It's a 2D pipeline - just bezier curves drawn with Affinity Designer (and a few layers to get the inner lines, and outer dirt bits).

Keeping it 2D for simplicity, but also for lack of wrangling in 3D stuff.

Guess that’s a sign the night was worthwhile.

Lots of stuff to do. Probably need to clean those notes up and work out what my focus is on.

Probably going to sort out a proper playtesting setup so I iterate faster too.
