An element of telling us what we already know here. The VAT cut benefits the big companies more also.

Have to agree with this. A lot of people I know badly affected by social media are long past childhood.
It’s very funny to me that countries are trying to pass laws banning teens from social media until they’re older and can “handle it” as if the last decade hasn’t been about watching rich middle aged men nuke their brains on Twitter and then run the USA via shitpost.
Dude. Yes. Alito and Thomas are of course the standout examples, but all of the Republican justices have tells in their writing and their questioning indicating that they are, to varying degrees, marinating their brains in dumb bitch juice

1. It was a higher turnout for this presidential election than the 2018 presidential election.
2. The number of spoiled votes only equates to 5.91% of the actual electorate.
3. No Irish presidential candidate has ever received as many first preference votes as Catherine Connolly got.

I see a lot of talk about the government learning the wrong lessons when it comes to the spoiled votes. It's a fair concern.
Equally though, I want to see the left learn that, when united, they can get the candidates over the line. In a landslide.

Keep the momentum going. #aras25 #speirgorm

Genuinely baffled by the wailing and pearl clutching about Maria Steen not being on the ballot. Why are people acting like she was basically owed the nomination, or we are obliged to have her on the ballot? She started her campaign like 5 minutes before the deadline and failed, she is owed nothing.
