for so many reasons, i'm so looking forward to this trip in 8 days. Also, my health journey is still going amazingly well. I got my bloodwork done per my dr's request and my A1C is at 5.4, down from 6.4 back in December. All my numbers were in the green range other than hemoglobin which was .1 low
In February, the Mrs and I will take a trip to Maui for sun and warmth and to escape the frigid Portland winter and I’m hoping I’ve lost more by then as well so the flight over can be comfortable and I’d be able to do things like snorkel and enjoy the ocean. 3/3

For now, family is safe, I have my aunt and cousins who are somewhat close to the Hurst Fire and if it gets close to where they're at, there's a much bigger problem going on because that would torch quite a large amount of homes to get to Pacoima. My heart hurts for friends and family down there now

I made a decision last month, right before Thanksgiving to actually get serious about my health. I was tired of being big, and wanted to really push myself to see if I could get healthy. I also asked my dr for Mounjaro as I’d been on ozempic for 6 months and my A1C didn’t change one bit. 1/
