I ride the bus in the winter when the roads are snowy. I'm always surprised at how empty the buses are. I mean, it's easy to get a seat, but why drive in bad weather when a professional can get you there with little stress?

Met a lady this weekend who is 101. She lives at my dad's assisted living facility. She has 19 years on Dad, and is both physically and mentally healthier than my father. Was truly a joy to meet her and hear her stories. Everyone there is so proud of her longevity, that they kept introducing us.

Just applied to be a compost ambassador for my city. Looking at local ways to have an impact and do good. While the rest of the world goes to shit, I can at least make productive use of the waste.

Looking forward to trick-or-treating tonight. We are the full-sized candy bar house this year. It's going to be warm, and hopefully busy on our often disregarded street. Hopefully batgirl Velma won't be disappointed for lack of visitors. I don't want those candy bars in my house after tonight.

Halloween costume procured. We are going with the theme of music. Husband was very helpful in pulling a something great together. When we walked in the store, I had no idea what I would be wearing, but I think I have a solid costume. To Be Continued...

Used the e-bike daily while recovering from foot surgery. Now I can't stop riding it to work, even with a perfectly good road bike right there. Getting the extra 10-15 minutes in the morning before I have to leave is so enticing. But I'm not getting the cardio I need. Bike world problems, I know.
