I love London so much. So much.

Did you know that London has the lowest level of ethnic violence of any city of comparable size in the world?

Multiculturalism has in fact worked here. They just don’t want it to be true because we happen to have a Muslim mayor.
In London, hate will never win.

It's easy for socially-conscious poetry to be cheesy. This is not.

Beautiful poem by Kareem Parkins-Brown here, and given a great platform.

MP behind letter for Palestinian recognition warns 'time is running out' - as Starmer says UK will help with Gaza aid airdrops.

The response to genocide requires a bit more than simply throwing food out of an aircraft.

Shame on Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper

What do you think of these comments from the man you get on with Keir Starmer?
Who agrees that this should be an impeachable offense in itself?

Absolutely 💯 right. Labour needs to be true to itself. Not extreme left just true to its values.
V good letter in The Guardian on Labour’s flailing hopelessness in the face of Reform.
Come on, Labour. The country is crying out for better. We’re sick of this ugly rightwing agenda. It brings nothing but failure.
It’s disloyal to your voters and to the country. You’ve got power and time. Use them.

Labour's obsession with our national interest being defined as trade deal with the US

Despite President Trump ripping up the trade deal he signed with Canada just a few years ago

Trump is erratic and unreliable, as a nation we should seek the policy stability of the European Union

Our national interest is to defend democracy and defeat fascism around the world.

That is not achieved by a trade deal with the USA, but with joining the EU and Commonwealth countries in defeating Trump's authoritarian programme.

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

Vance was right on just one thing: Europe lacks a clear positive vision of what it wants to defend.

The answer must be "the things Vance rejects": truth, science, liberal democracy, rule of law, resisting dictators, climate action.

It will have to do that without, & sometimes against, the US Govt.

I became chief prosecutor May 2011
I authorised charging Rochdale grooming gang June 2011
After convictions (May 2012) Starmer put me in charge of national response
Far Right thugs attacked my home
1000s of rapists were brought to justice

For those people suggesting a national public inquiry into so called grooming gangs will deliver accountability

Do you know that the grand total of people brought to justice following the Hillsborough, Grenfell, Post Office, Infected Blood & Bloody Sunday public inquiries is ONE?

The decline of Xwitter is welcome. Bring it on!
Could be a good indication of the effect Musk will have at the Department of Government Efficiency.
With obviously far more devastating implications. Pleasing oligarchs and fascists. Making life hell for everyone else.

I think that this article is very relevant for Starmer and Labour. Growth that is skewed in favour of the rich is no good. People want more equality. That's how you get elected!
