I've loved all of Robert McCammon's Matthew Corbett books, and "Leviathan", the 10th and final book in the series is arguably the best. It has everything: adventure, danger, torture, and (yes) romance.

The government is shutdown and Republicans are hiding. They aren't even in Washington.

Bodycam footage says otherwise.

It shows an ICE agent ram his own vehicle into hers, sneer “Do something, bitch,” and then shoot her.

We can never believe anything ICE accuses anyone of.

Serious question: What's stopping the State of Illinois from arresting Stephen Miller & charging him with incitement?

The Senate didn't confirm him. He's just a guy.

At some point, the states MUST use their authority to prosecute, because the federal government certainly will not.
