And the whole time "law and order" is just a dog whistle for wanting everyone who doesn't look, think, and act like them in jail or deported.

The fact that there is not wall to wall coverage about Donald Trump's age and speculation about how mental decline when he is obviously not living in this reality tells me all I need to know about the agenda being forwarded by billionaire-owned media.

1. In a devastating new Pew Research Survey, only 3 in 10 transgender adults report being accepted by their parents.

And only 1 in 10 say they are accepted by their extended family.

This is the lowest number ever found in surveys asking similar questions.

no they're LITERALLY exaggerating this issue. there is absolutely no data backing up their claims. ffs just say that!!
NBC news: The discussions come as Trump has sought to deploy National Guard troops in several major cities — including Los Angeles, Chicago and Portland, Oregon — saying they’re needed to reduce crime and protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials from protesters. Critics have said that the Trump administration is exaggerating issues in those cities.

Gonna be thinking about this lede for a minute.
(RNS) — Last month, the Rev. David Black stood in front of a Chicago-area U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility and spread his arms wide. Adorned in all black and wearing a clerical collar, the pastor looked up at a group of masked, heavily armed ICE agents on the roof and began to pray.

“I invited them to repentance,” Black, a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), said in an interview. “I basically offered an altar call. I invited them to come and receive that salvation, and be part of the kingdom that is coming.”

But when Black began to lower his arms a few seconds later, the agents responded to his spiritual plea by firing pepper balls, or chemical agents that cause eye irritation and respiratory distress, video footage shows. One struck Black in the head, exploding into a puff of white pepper smoke and forcing him to his knees. Fellow demonstrators rushed to his aid, and as the pastor rubbed his face in pain, the agents continued to fire.

“We could hear them laughing,” Black said.

He did. And at the time, cross-platform harassment was against their TOS.

They changed the TOS to keep Singal and changed it to ban Link.

Mind you, Link is a user they invited.
romancingnope.bsky.social
I think it looks like exactly what it is, which is blatant double standards from people who don't want us here. If Singal harasses trans people off the platform: great! If Jay can permaban leftists off the platform for hurting her feelings: great!

Link has always been a positive plus for Bluesky.

Let's be crystal clear the reason for his ban is goalpost moving because the CEO didn't like being called out for racism and bigotry.

That's it. That's literally it.

If you have ovaries, perimenopause is coming for you, probably sooner than you think, and you're not going to give a single fuck about any of the things you thought you cared about before. Also, your body is going to go haywire, so a regular *low-impact* exercise routine will come in clutch.

Trying to survive a genocide gets you banned over and over and without any answers to your emails when you appeal.

Being a famous terf who has a history of harassing people online and whose shitty work gets cited in anti-trans legislation gets you unbanned and private zoom calls with the head mod.

Harassing the mods into banning someone has never worked. And harassing people in general has never changed their mind.

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

1) an abortifacient

2) extremely painful and scary

3) outright dangerous for people with respiratory issues

4) has effects, especially reproductive health effects, that long outlast the acute stage of exposure. I'm talking months of symptoms.

exigency or any other pru dent threshold limitation on the exercise of our discretion— and wordlessly override the considered judgments of our colleagues. This GOP move does several things:
+ No votes in the House until at least October 14
+ No swearing-in for Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva D-AZ
+ No 218th signature from Grijalva on the Epstein Files discharge petition
+ Continues the House 'jam' of the Senate on the CR

🚨🚨The House reading clerk just read a letter from House Speaker Mike Johnson where he declares a 'District Work Period' from October 7 to October 13.

That would mean no votes in the House until mid-month.
