Slotkin is overestimating the difference between the “faculty lounge” and the “assembly line.” I’ve worked for unions that bargained for bathroom access, lobbied for trans rights, and trained members on inclusive language. If you want to be a bigot, don’t pretend the working class hates with you.

there’s a lot of hand-wringing about the possibility of Reform winning MSPs in 2026, but IMO it’s worth noting that the Scottish Tories are effectively on-par with them in practice at this point
