I'm not gonna presume everybody's Christian, but I can guess from the states that they're deployed from that most of them are. They should be at home taking silly Santa hat photos with their families.

He was lambasted; @akalhan.bsky.social coined the term “Kavanaugh stops”

This past year, I finally got around to reading Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall trilogy. Yes, it's as good as everyone said it was. Unfortunately, it's also quite relevant to U.S. politics. In my blog, I reflect on reading Wolf Hall in 2025 and the perilous gap between actions and consequences

again, the crisis of masculinity people care about shoring up masculinity, not about the health and well being of men. these two things are antithetical. and nothing shows that more clearly than gun violence.

DC Cir. will allow the continued deployment of National Guard troops in D.C. while the litigation continues.

Decision rests on idea that D.C. has no sovereignty (or federalism interest) of its own bc it is not a state.

A majority of Indiana Senate Republicans stood together to reject Trump’s mob-boss politics.

There is more power in standing up to a corrupt, unpopular administration rather than playing its game.

Law firms, universities, foundations, and media companies should take note.

I’ve been notified of two more deaths in ICE custody in the last 24 hours — meaning that 25 people have now died in detention since Trump returned to office.

That’s the most in more than two decades. The cruelty and inhumanity of this administration must end.
