I still can’t get over the self confidence of Lin-Manuel Miranda to be able to write a musical in which the lead is repeatedly described as exceptionally handsome, and then to say, “Yeah, I should play that part”.

Forgetting the ridiculousness of Rob Schneider saying that politics is the only reason he’s not more of a star, even if it were true I can’t get how I’m supposed to think that’s a bad thing. You should pay a price for supporting fascism.

Very disappointed that Xbox didn’t do a year end wrap this year. But I guess I don’t need Xbox to tell me that Blue Prince took the top spot this year. Fallout: New Vegas was dethroned for the first time since I got the Xbox. Bringing up the rear were probably Outer Worlds 1 & 2 and Ballatro.

One of the little things I like about Fallout New Vegas is how sometimes you’ll come upon an area and the NPCs aren’t where they normally are, but then they’ll run to their positions before talking to you. Like the whole Mojave is some stage play they are putting on for the courier’s benefit.

When talking about all the dangers of AI, most people only go to the arts and make their points there. Almost everyone seems to forget the creativity in STEM fields, the very thing that made this tech bros rich and made AI possible. And the use of AI is killing it, any understanding at all of logic.

I’ve seen a fair amount of kudos for Outer Worlds 2 narrative design and gameplay (well deserved) but I have to also give a shout-out to the art direction and asset creation. This world was a pleasure to wander through and look around at, from the giant set pieces to the smallest items.

Haven’t had as much time as I would like to play Outer Worlds 2 yet. But enjoying what I’ve seen so far. After leveling up, I’m really excited by the changes to the skills/perk system. Can’t wait to dive in this weekend.
