I once voted for a candidate in a primary because I thought they could win, instead of the candidate I preferred. I regret that vote terribly. how can a candidate win if people don't prefer them?

non-preferred candidates shouldn't get votes. don't even rank candidates you don't prefer.
A This Is Our Current Political Reality fact too many deny: no matter how much your candidate ought to win, if they'll draw more votes against them than another of your party's candidates would—and they don't have the overwhelming support that other candidate does—they'll lose.

Does that mean

people say that Epstein associated with "people on both sides of the aisle"

yet I never see any pictures of Epstein being friendly with a working class individual. he was partisan, he had a side, he did not associate with both sides of the aisle. he only associated with one side.

20 dems voting against Al Green's impeachment of trump and releasing a statement saying "we want to focus on affordability" is so much bullshit. the reason things are expensive is because of trump having unchecked power. those 20 dems are trash

why would a billionaire like Jeffrey Epstein associate so closely with a grungy and gross Steve Bannon?
December 12, 2025 at 8:31 PM
billionaires hate the cultures of all working class people. it doesn't matter what color their skin is, where they were born, what language they speak, what they eat, what they believe, what they support.

if you are poor then they hate your culture.

if you are rich then they like your culture.

Steve Bannon’s close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein deserves even more scrutiny.

Every day.

Bannon has manipulated press coverage for years, even while being a superspreader for rightwing extremism and idiotic conspiracy theories.

Reporting every day. Bannon + Epstein.

An email account belonging to Jeffrey Epstein used the name "Pedophiles" to sign up for Trump's campaign alerts
Notably, the first Trump campaign email using the name "Pedophiles" didn't show up until 2020, after his death.

A new investigation revealed that school districts and local governments are reportedly overpaying for supplies because of Amazon contracts that bind them to dynamic pricing.

Rather than allow for competitive bidding, the deals “covertly raise prices and inflate costs for governments.”

just read article 2 section 2 which contains the presidents pardon power. it's laughable that people think trump won't obtain state pardon power from the Supreme Court.

"..Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States.."

yeah supreme court's gonna give it to him

if Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not released then consider habeas corpus suspended. this is a habeas corpus petition. one of the most cherished rights in America, the idea that the government doesn't have legal authority to hold a person without due process.

half of the amendments and the entire constitution of the United States was designed to prevent the government from the abusive prosecution and investigations it is attacking Kilmar Abrego Garcia with.

modern literary fiction would have been considered sci-fi about 150 years ago.

planes? computers? cell phones? internet? lasers? world-ending nukes? bio-engineering? impending climate change disaster? thousands of satellites in space constantly watching us?

lord everything is sci-fi now
Maybe today is the day we also have a conversation about the word “genre” and how a lot of horror is better than the stuff that gets counted as “real cinema” and a lot of SFF writing is higher quality literature than some of the shit publishers call “literary fiction”

So it seems to me the Russia stuff went like this:

1. Ukraine tries to sign a trade deal with EU
2. Russia attempts to stop it with political manipulations but fails
3. Russia captures Crimea to preserve its Black Sea access
4. Russia supports a puppet in America to solidify captured territory

yet we have allowed the military to develop a cult of personality itself, and that personality leans rightwing/republican.
“Our military swears an oath to the Constitution, not to a cult of personality. When democracy is under attack, that oath matters. Stand up, defend the republic, protect the people.”

the problem with nuclear is that it was invented nearly 100 years ago and it hasn't killed oil/fossil fuel yet.

I bet you thought I was going to call it dangerous or expensive or something.

no. the problem with nuclear is that it failed with the time it had allotted to it.
